ICA’s GreenRise, we will be convening a Faith & Sustainability Forum, in order to exchange stories, ideas, and resources around what Chicago’s faith communities are doing in sustainability. How are faith groups taking care of their facilities, engaging their congregation and reaching out to their neighbors to actively care for our earth? The outcome of the Faith Forum will be a new understanding of the challenges facing our world and the opportunities that are already being put in place.

Faith & Sustainability Forum 2015

JOIN US in order to exchange stories, ideas, and resources around what Chicago’s faith communities are doing in sustainability. This forum will focus on peer-to-peer sharing but also offer resources and action planning sessions so that every participant leaves with a set of next steps. 

The Faith traditions have played significant roles in social movements throughout history and in the current Climate Change debate. This forum will showcase local action happening in Chicago while also pushing the participants to tackle hard questions.

  • Hear about upcoming opportunities to increase sustainability in faith communities
  • See how local congregations are currently engaging in sustainability efforts
  • Connect with resources through organizational services and peer-to-peer sharing 
  • Gain new understanding of the challenges facing our earth
  • Develop a personal or congregation action plan
